Seeing a need for energetic, nonprofit work with military amputees, I formed Fit 2 Survive to provide sensible solutions & inspire greatness in all military amputees. I accomplish this through the use of education, support & equipment. All thanks to the helping hands of amazing communities!
Support the fitness and athletic goals of military amputees by providing education, support. and equipment.
To ensure all individuals who have lost limbs as a result of military trauma can live healthy, active fulfilling lives.
There are an estimated 50,000 individuals in the Tampa bay area and 200,000 around the U.S. who have lost limbs as a result of military trauma. Many amputees benefit from inpatient and outpatient physical therapy and other medical based resources, as well as from peer support groups. However, there are few local and statewide resources for amputees who have completed physical therapy and wish to maintain or improve their fitness levels over the long term and also wish to connect with peers pursuing athletic goals:
* Mainstream fitness centers lack accessible equipment and knowledgeable trainers onsite to provide safe instruction and access.
* General amputee peer support networks do not adequately and regularly address the continued need for positive reinforcement and support required to begin and maintain a fitness regimen.
* Accessible next level sporting equipment is costly to obtain and maintain and can be unsafe to use without receiving proper instruction.
We at Fit2Survive address each of these three community deficits for military amputees by providing accessible fitness education, an online support network for amputee athletes and funds raised or donated specialized accessible equipment for athlete amputees. "Iron Athletes"

In addition to all military amputees, our "Iron Athletes" are certain specific amputees we have highlighted and help F2S in a variety of ways.
As noted previously, many of American men and women come back from active duty to experience a lack of extended support for their goals. We at Fit2Survive want to further the lives of all amputees and our "Iron Athletes". Many amputees seek to further their fitness levels and return to active duty or become active within their community.
Our "Iron Athletes" show exemplary status within their community or a want to strive to be more, add more, and show more to the world. They are athletes, advisors and mentors to others. Fit2Survive seeks out individuals with these characteristics and supports their journey for greatness.
I have coached, trained and mentored athletes an many levels. I started with my own journey to fitness and continued to guide others to a more healthy lifestyle. I have trained armchair athletes, to division 1 to pro athletes over the years. My love for fitness has taken me to a different level.
I have always kept a deep desire to encourage health and promote an active lifestyle. This desire allowed me to show clients how to get fit, feel great and overcome many ailments. My clients experience life through a renewed sense of self.
My clients have overcome ailments from diabetes to cancer with the help of fitness and a positive mindset.
This is where I realized that although these ailments can be life threatening and very difficult to overcome, with hard work and perseverance we can overcome what was thought as impossible.
The question that always seemed to reach me to my core... "What about these amputees that will forever deal with a loss of a limb?" A reduced sense of self and activity level that will always stare them in the mirror. Furthermore these individual voluntarily decided to take this risk when joining the military. Out of this scenario, Fit 2 Survive vision was born. My journey to ensure all individuals who have lost limbs as a result of military trauma can live healthy, active fulfilling lives.
